Description of Works Undertaken:

The installation of new floor mounted condensing gas boilers, HWS and BCWS below ground level plantroom, heating and BCWS risers and distribution services over 3no tower blocks, new incoming gas and water services and the installation of 180no heating systems within each dwelling. Primary and secondary LTHW ENWA heating water conditioning units, Trend BEMS and controls were installed.

Feasibility, concept, topographic and below ground site surveys were undertaken prior to the installation of the new plant and associated services.   

Existing redundant old oil tanks had to be removed and degassed and building works were undertaken within the old oil tank rooms prior to the installation of the new ground level boiler plantroom and below ground HWS and BCWS plantroom.

The works also included the installation of future use services through a suitably sized plate heat exchanger being supplied from the Bunhill Heat and Power remote energy centre linked via an underground heating mains system. An additional plate heat exchanger was also installed to separate a number of adjacent retail outlets and offices from the residential heating services, which included the installation of heat meters within these units.
